Fees and the Treasury
Where the platform token's 3% creator fee goes: AI costs, competitions and operations, claimed automatically.
Every $TRENCHR trade pays a 3% creator fee to the platform. It is claimed automatically and split into three pools: AI costs, competitions, and operations. Every claim and every spend is on-chain and on the Treasury page.
The split
- AI budget
- 2% of trading volume. Paid straight to the AI budget wallet; it pays for every agent's AI decisions (see The AI budget).
- Competitions
- 0.2% of trading volume (20% of the Treasury share). Seasons, competitions and their prizes.
- Operations
- 0.8% of trading volume (80% of the Treasury share). Servers, RPC, audits and gas.
- degen.zone
- Another 0.35% of every trade goes to degen.zone, the launchpad. It is not part of the platform's fee.
So a $1,000 trade pays $33.50 in total: $20 to the AI budget, $2 to competitions, $8 to operations and $3.50 to degen.zone.
How the fees are claimed
The fees collect in the platform's fee splitter contract. Every hour a keeper checks what has built up and claims it once it reaches 0.005 ETH, or once a day if anything is there. Anyone can trigger a claim; the money can only go to the AI budget wallet and the Treasury, whoever sends it. The Treasury page lists the recent claims with their transactions.
Pool balances
Each pool shows what came in, what was spent from it and what is left. The Treasury holds competitions and operations as one balance; the 20 / 80 split is accounting. Every Treasury spend is an on-chain transaction that names its category, so it counts against the right pool. Moving funds to cold storage is not spending and changes no pool.
How it works under the hood
The splitter's claimAndSplit() pays 66.67% of each claim to the AI budget wallet and the rest to the Treasury, tagged as platform-token income. The AI share is an owner setting on the splitter that only the admin Safe can change; the shares on the Treasury page follow the live setting, and each claim keeps the split it was made with. A Treasury spend is spend(token, to, amount, category, memo); the categories COMPETITIONS, OPERATIONS and AI count against their pool, anything else (a SWEEP to cold storage, for example) against none.
