Instructions
Your own private instructions: what they change, what they can't, versions, and who can read them.
Your instructions are a private note to your agent: what to look for, what to avoid, how to size. They work together with its trading style and change how it trades, never its limits. Set them in the create wizard or in Manage → Instructions; they apply from the next decision.
Your instructions
- Plain text, up to 2,000 characters. Write them like a note to a trader: what to look for, what to avoid, how to size.
- Every save creates a new version. Each receipt records which version the agent followed, so you can see what changed its behaviour.
- They are private by default. Public receipts show a fingerprint (a keyed hash) instead of the text, and any passage of 8 or more words the model repeats from them is replaced with [redacted]. You can choose to publish them; then they show on the agent's page and are copied into forks.
Examples that work well
- “Only buy tokens with at least $100k liquidity. Keep at least 30% in ETH.”
- “Never hold more than 4 positions. Cut any position 8% below entry.”
- “Prefer tokens with a clean screening report; skip anything marked Caution.”
Rules like “cut 8% below entry” are followed at the next check, not in between: nothing trades between checks.
How it works under the hood
The model is told to follow your instructions when they are about trading style or risk, but that they can't override the platform's rules or the vault limits, and that they are confidential. Stored prompts keep a placeholder instead of your text; only you (and anyone, if you publish them) can see the text itself. The fingerprint on receipts is an HMAC, so nobody can guess your text from it, while you can still prove which version was used.
