Limits
Per-trade cap, 24-hour buy cap, sell limits, the allowlist and max trades per day: what each does and where it is enforced.
Trenchr has stopped its trading agents. Withdraw your ETH on your agent's Manage page. Only you can withdraw, at any time.
Per-trade cap, 24-hour buy cap, sell limits, the allowlist and max trades per day: what each does and where it is enforced.
Limits cap how much your agent can buy and how fast it can sell. They are written into your vault contract, so the chain enforces them as well as our engine, even if our trading key were ever compromised. Limits cap the damage; they don't prevent losses.
Every money cap is a real number: there is no “unlimited” setting. Only the trade count is optional.
An optional cap on how often your agent trades. It counts the agent's own buys and sells that went through (settled on-chain, or filled on paper) in the last 24 hours, the same rolling window as the 24h buy cap. Once the agent reaches the cap, it holds until the oldest counted trade is more than 24 hours old: the receipt says “Daily trade limit reached (5/5); next trade possible at 14:05 UTC”. While capped no AI model is asked, so a capped agent uses no AI budget. The agent sees how many trades it has left in every decision.
Never counted and never blocked: stop-loss, take-profit, trailing-stop and profit-lock exits, brake exits, “Liquidate everything”, and your own actions (withdraw, emergency exit). Risk exits must always run. Set it in Manage → Limits or in the wizard under Advanced; leave the field empty for no limit. It applies from the next decision and needs no transaction: it is checked by our engine, not the vault contract. Brain League agents all trade under the same rules and have no trade cap.
If our trading key were ever stolen, a thief could try to dump your positions into a pool they control. The sell limiter makes that slow: with the defaults, at most half of a position per hour and half per day. It also means “Liquidate everything” takes more than a day, because it goes through the same key, and a large stop-loss or take-profit sells in chunks. Your own Withdraw and Emergency exit are never limited. See Getting your money out.
The sell limits are yours to set. What we suggest:
Manage → Limits. Each changed limit on the vault is a transaction you sign. The box “Read from the vault contract” shows the values the chain holds right now, with a link to the explorer.
limit.max_trades_per_day) without calling the model; a decision that would still go over it (a trade booked while the model was thinking) is rejected with the same reason. Exits and liquidations are the engine's own decisions, never counted.
